  Scholly is a scholarship match app currently on the web, Ios, and Android. All apps and an admin communicate through an API that is built using Phalcon PHP framework. Infrastructure is build on AWS.

  • Rewrote and maintained web app front end in ReactJS.
  • Rewrote and maintained API used for web, iOS, Android apps. Used Phalcon to create a standard HTTP API.
  • Rebuilt backend server infrastructure with continuous integration using AWS servers (EBS) and Jenkins.
  • Lead product team to produce and deploy new designs and features

  Instamour was a video dating app on the IOS and Android marketplace. Both apps and an admin communicate through an API that is built in PHP. We had scaled the apps to a 145k+ userbase.

  • Single API endpoint used for IOS, Android, Admin, and Web applications. API is built on a custom PHP framework.
  • Full stack is hosted on AWS. Uses a basic EC2 instance running Nginx and is setup for autoscaling. An RDS/MySQL server is setup as the database.
  • Uses AWS SNS for push notifications.
  • All videos are rendered through FFMpeg and stored on S3.
  • Uses Facebook Oath for user login.
  • A Facebook canvas app was setup around the web app for easy Facebook integration and user aquisition.

  PATravel is a Philadelphia-based travel agency. This project consisted of creating a responsive, modern website from a legacy project and building out a backend using Processwire.

  • All parts of the website is integrated into Prcoesswire CMS.
  • Offers are imported daily through an XML feed from a third party service
  • Frontend utilizes Foundation to help build a mobile experience. All CSS is rendered from Sass files.

  Rushordertees is an ecommerce website that allows customers to design apperal such as t-shirts and hoodies in a html5 design studio. The site includes a customer portal for saved designs and an item catalog. I was hired to help maintain the front end.

  • The project consisted of muliple tiers: Two seperate branded front end websites, back-end service, and a Ext-JS CRM. The front and back end projects were written in custom PHP.
  • Redisigned front end to be mobile/responsive using Bootstrap.
